Counselling and Psychotherapy

We all have our own reasons for seeking support through counselling and psychotherapy.
Whatever your issue you can bring it to our sessions and be listened to with respect and in confidence.

I appreciate everyone's situation is unique and believe we can all develop the skills and confidence we need to move forward with our lives. However most of us need a helping hand from time to time and I can provide that through counselling.

It's easy to get stuck in a vicious cycle, feeling unsure of how to move on and doubting yourself.  I'll help you untangle your thoughts and feelings,  rediscover your strengths and abilities and maybe recognise and develop new ones.

I have experience of supporting people with a wide range of issues, some of which include:
  • depression
  • anxiety
  • diagnosed conditions such as bipolar
  • relationships
  • bereavement and loss
  • low confidence
  • poor self esteem
  • and many others.

I provide a calm, welcoming, space away from the pressures of your everyday life. Giving you the opportunity to accept and come to terms with previous experiences and to plan for your future.

Who's it for?

Who's it for?

Who do I work with?
I trained to work with adult individuals, children, teenagers and with couples.
I have undertaken additional training to further enhance my skills and knowledge.
I have worked on NHS contracts with adults and in primary and secondary schools with children and young people, as well as for local and national charities.
I also provide supervision for counsellors, psychotherapists and those in helping professions.

  4. Working with Penny has been of massive value..(she).. allowed me the time and space to identify and investigate aspects of my life that I wasn’t happy with... I have been able to unlock from unhelpful behaviour and thought patterns that have controlled me and held me back for years.

  5. I found your reflections insightful and our sessions allowed me to take a step back and reflect. I took positive actions on the basis of what we discussed and intend further actions in the near future. I feel the insight I gained from our sessions will have a lasting positive effect
